Drug dealer from Luton jailed

23 Feb 2018

A Luton man will spend three years behind bars for drug offences, after being sentenced today (Friday).

Malachi Brown, 19, of Plough Close, was sentenced at Luton Crown court after being found guilty of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

Brown was arrested on 28 November 2017 when officers searched a property in Oakwood Avenue, Dunstable. Officers had originally been looking for a wanted man, but discovered Brown at the address with a large amount of cash and numerous wraps of Class A drugs.

Detective Constable Allan Taylor said: “I’m pleased Brown has been given a custodial sentence and will now spend time behind bars. Drugs cause extreme harm in our communities, and we will take action against those who supply them to others. I hope it also demonstrates to others that crime doesn’t pay.”

Anyone with information on drug criminality in their area should contact the police using our online reporting centre, by calling 101, or report it anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
