Two charged following Bedford stabbing

Two men from Bedford have been charged after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the leg in Kennet Rise, Bedford, on Monday (5 November).

Mohammed Rahman, 24, of Cobden Square, and Haseeb Akhtar, 21, of Sturmer Road, were charged yesterday (Tuesday), with grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

They have been remanded in custody pending an appearance at Luton Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).

High visibility patrols have been stepped up in the Brickhill area following the incident.

The victim was treated in hospital for his injury and has now been discharged.
