Teenage boy arrested in connection with Luton stabbing

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following a stabbing in Luton.

The teenager was arrested after officers from Bedfordshire Police carried out a warrant at an address in Kempston this morning (Thursday).

He was arrested in connection with a stabbing which happened in Derwent Road at around 7.50pm on Tuesday (19 December).

Officers are continuing to investigate the incident, as well as two reports that firearms were discharged shortly afterwards in Tower Road and at McDonald’s in Marsh Road.

Anyone with information about any of the incidents is asked to contact police on 101 quoting Operation Quair.
