Teenage boy arrested following Houghton Regis stabbing

A teenage boy has been arrested after police responded to reports of a teenager with stab wounds on Parkside Drive in Houghton Regis yesterday (Tuesday).

Emergency services attended the scene at approximately 11am and the victim was airlifted to hospital where he remains, although his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers have stepped up patrols in the area, however the incident is not thought to have been a random attack.

Detective Inspector Craig Laws, investigating, said: “We are continuing our enquiries into this incident and would like to reassure people that knife crime will not be tolerated in Bedfordshire.

“Patrols have been stepped up and people may see more officers than usual in the area.

“If anyone saw the incident or has any information to help our investigation, please get in touch.”
