Witnesses appeal following Luton robbery

26 Jul 2021

We are appealing for information following a robbery in Luton.

On Saturday (17 July) at around 4pm, the victim agreed to meet a man who was interested in purchasing some high value goods.

They met on Dunstable Road to exchange the goods, however the man refused to pay. The items were taken from the victim, before the man drove off in the direction of Houghton Regis.

The offender is described as white, slim, approximately 5’10’’, and aged between 18-24 years old with a ginger beard.

Detective Constable Romaana Kayani who is investigating this incident, from our Crime Investigation Department said: “This victim has been left shaken up and has suffered a financial loss.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or saw the man acting suspicious in the area before the incident.

“I would also like to remind the public to be careful when selling items online, especially high value items, and when agreeing to meet people, avoid being alone where possible.”

Anyone with information, please call 101 or report via our online reporting centre quoting reference number 40/37235/21.
