Meet the IAG Chairs and members

North

Chair North IAG - Mark Cattle

Mark Cattle has been involved in and chaired the Central Beds IAG since its formation in 2010 giving his a great insight into the Police whilst working with four different Chief Inspectors before the 2016 restructure. He is now the Co-Chair of the North IAG.

Mark has a lived in a village in Central Bedfordshire for over 30 years and has a keen interest in the local community and its cohesion. He is a Non-Executive Director of Active Luton a Sport and Leisure Trust which operates various leisure and cultural facilities in Luton and uniquely it is also responsible for developing sport for the town’s youth, it also opened a Free School in 2013.

It has a key role working with schools to improve health and fitness in children, something Mark believes in strongly having seen first-hand the benefits for his daughter, Emma, who has cerebral palsy and represented Great Britain in the Beijing 2008 Paralympics.

South

Chair South IAG - Nigel Taylor

Born in Zimbabwe, Nigel Taylor has also lived in Northern Ireland, Australia and now currently lives in Dunstable with this wife and three daughters.

Over his 25-year career he has worked in leadership with all age groups, international settings and with people who have different beliefs and values to himself. This has included international travel, Youth Work, Inner-city Community Work, Inner-city regeneration, Pupil Referral Unit, Debt relief, School Chaplaincy and much more.

For the last 7 years Nigel has served in a voluntary capacity on the Central Bedfordshire Equalities Forum which promotes equality and diversity in the categories of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation.

For the last decade he has led a Church in Dunstable that serves the wider community throughout the area.

Nigel brings a good base of knowledge and cross-cultural leadership experience to help ensure the focus of the South IAG is area-wide and not issue-based. He also has a collaborative leadership style that encourages varying viewpoints, bringing the strength of team to difficult situations.
