What is Bedfordshire Police doing to tackle cyber crime?

cyberhub_logoBedfordshire Police’s innovative Cyber Hub was launched in 2015 as a new unit dedicated to analysing digital data to investigate cyber crime.

Lots of other forces have cyber crime units, but Bedfordshire’s is a ground-breaking comprehensive ‘Hub’ which combines teams specialising in Digital Forensics, Cyber Crime Investigation and Internet Child Abuse Investigation Team (ICAIT).

The ICAIT strand of the Hub deals with internet child abuse, online paedophilia and the distribution of indecent images.

Our highly trained investigators use the very latest technological advances to track down cyber criminals – tracing the footprint left by their online activity.

The teams also provide investigative support to other criminal cases across the force.

Working closely with partners in fellow forces, academia and business, the Cyber Hub exists to acquire and exploit communications data economically, efficiently, effectively and lawfully to investigate crime, prosecute offenders and protect the public.

To report crime, always call us on 101.
