Misconduct Hearing held at Kings House, Bedford on 17,18 and 21 June 2021

Report from Chair 

This report is made pursuant to Regulation 43 (1) of the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020 “The Regulations” by the chair of the disciplinary panel who conducted a hearing in respect of the above-mentioned Probationary Police Constable Anderson.

The decision of the panel was that Probationary Constable Anderson had committed breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour for Police Officers set out in Schedule 2 of the Police namely: 1) Fitness for Duty and 2) Discreditable Conduct.

The conduct found proven related to a positive drug test which revealed that the Probationary Officer had knowingly ingested a controlled substance namely cocaine.

The panel handed down written decisions on the facts and outcome; copies of which are available upon request.

Outcome: Dismissal without notice.

Direction: The Appropriate Authority is directed to publish a copy of this report on its website.
