Bedfordshire Police Cadets is currently for young people aged 13 to 18. The programme starts in September until July with training being held at Kempston HQ and Dunstable Police station on a Tuesday evening.

Our Cadets aim to promote an
understanding of police amongst young people, to Senior officer congratulating a cadetsupport local policing through volunteering and to assist in community and crime prevention events.

The Cadets follow a national framework and also have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers from different departments within Bedfordshire Police.

Being a Cadet is also a great way to inspire young people to participate positively in their communities.

Cadets help with  crime prevention initiatives, community engagement activities, test purchasing operations, official ceremonies and much more.

Applications for our police cadets programme are currently closed and will re-open in September 2021.
