Did you know that if you are a victim of crime and the offender has accepted responsibility you may be entitled to something called restorative justice conferencing.

Restorative justice conferencing is an opportunity for you to communicate with the offender, seek explanations and express the impact the crime had you. It can also be a place for the offender to agree with you how they intend to make amends for the harm caused.

Best results are usually achieved via fully supervised face-to-face conferencing, but we know that isn’t right for everyone – each case is different. Whatever your decision you can be sure that you will be supported at every step of the way to find a solution that is right for you.

The initiative dovetails with the force’s CARE campaign and aspirations by this force to become a top performer in terms of victim satisfaction.
