Your Numbers Up – Don’t Let Thieves Get Away With it.
Among the items that are mostly reported stolen from motor
vehicles are vehicle registration plates. These are then used
in the commission of other crimes such as fuel station ‘drive
offs’, speeding/traffic offences, avoidance of the London
congestion charges and to 'disguise' a vehicle in the execution of
another crime. Vehicle registration plates are soft targets
as they are quickly and easily removed. The
intention of 'your numbers up' is to make it harder for
thieves to target your number plates.
