Luton Magistrates Court – Operation Auto
Two men have been found guilty of Section 5 Public Order offences at Luton Magistrates Court today for their part in the March 10, 2009 disorder which happened at a home coming parade held in honour of the Royal Anglian Regiment.Bryan Kelso, dob 26 06 1982 of Hartley Road, Luton received a 9 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £175 costs.
Kevin Carroll, dob 24 05 1969, of Bollingbroke Road, Luton, also received a 9 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £175 costs.
Superintendent Mark Turner, head of community policing for Luton, said: “Luton town has enjoyed excellent community relations for a number of years but it seems last year a small minority came to the town to cause disorder. There has been extensive public consultation and work behind the scenes to strengthen community cohesion in the town and Bedfordshire Police is committed to continuing this work with its partners to ensure harmony and peace.”
