Operation Pleat: Eleventh Man Charged
BEDFORDSHIRE Police have this afternoon (Monday, Nov 16) charged another man in connection with Operation Pleat, the long-running investigation into burglaries across Beds and Herts where high value cars were stolen off drives.
On the direction of the Crown Prosecution Service, Marcin MIKOLAJCZAK, formerly of Winstanley Road, Wellingborough, Northants, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries and conspiracy to transfer criminal property.
MIKOLAJCZAK, who was extradited from Poland this morning with the help of Polish authorities following a request from Bedfordshire detectives, was remanded in police custody to appear at Luton Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov 17).
