How to Report a Crime

There are several ways in which crimes can be reported depending upon the urgency and the type of crime being reported

When to call 999

IN AN EMERGENCY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CALL 999, OR 112 FROM A MOBILE TELEPHONE

You should ALWAYS ring the emergency number and ask for police if..

  • There is a risk of personal injury or loss of life
  • A crime is in progress

When to call your local Police Station

For all non-emergency calls (that do not require an immediate response), please contact your local police either by phone or in person.
