Income Generation
Welcome to the Income Generation section of the Bedfordshire
Police website. Income Generation’s mission is to provide
Bedfordshire Police with opportunities to deliver services and
quality to the force’s strategic and policing plans, above that
which would be available with our statutory funding. Improvements
are made through use of funds or resources acquired
through:
Examples of services that have been previously provided
include:
- Actions on local drug issues, through a Home Office grant which
provided additional Drug Testing Custody Officers and Drug Lead
Officer.
- Deployment of additional Police Officers and PCSOs in South
Bedfordshire, following purchase of additional special police
services in ‘hot spot’ areas.
- Sponsorship of a Special Constabulary saloon vehicle which
assisted the deployment of voluntary Police Officers to
incidents.
- Sponsorship of the Bedfordshire Police Awards annual event,
which recognises excellence within Police family and the general
public, for policing related achievements.
